- Scope of Services
DP Consultancy provides estate‐related services within South Africa, including—but not limited to:
- Administration of deceased estates (Section 18(3) and full estates);
- Drafting and safe-keeping of Last Wills and Testaments;
- Estate planning consultations;
- Reporting and compliance with the Master of the High Court and SARS;
- Consulting for other entities, firms, or companies;
- Training on estate administration processes.
- Client Obligations
Clients agree to:
- Provide complete and accurate information and documentation;
- Respond promptly to reasonable requests for information;
- Pay all fees, disbursements, and applicable taxes as outlined in Section 3.
- Fees, Consultation Charges & Payment
3.1 Consultation fees: The first 30-minute consultation is complimentary. Thereafter, consultations are billed at ZAR 575.00 per hour or at a flat rate as agreed in writing.
3.2 Service fees: Administration fees are calculated based on the gross value and complexity of the estate, as outlined in the signed Mandate Form.
3.3 Invoicing and payment terms: Invoices are payable within 7 days of issue unless otherwise agreed. Interest of 2% per month will apply to overdue accounts.
3.4 Refunds and cancellations: Refunds will be assessed based on work already completed. No refunds will be issued for time spent or disbursements already paid.
3.5 Non-payment: DP Consultancy reserves the right to suspend services and withhold documentation until outstanding amounts are fully settled.
3.6 Estate shortfalls: Any shortfall derived from an estate must be paid in full prior to finalisation of the estate.
- Turnaround Time
Estimated timelines depend on third-party institutions (e.g., the Master’s Office, banks, SARS) and the timely submission of required documentation by the client. The complexity of the estate may also affect turnaround times.
- Confidentiality
All client information is treated as strictly confidential and will only be disclosed where required by law or with the client’s written consent.
- Limitation of Liability
DP Consultancy shall not be held liable for delays, losses, or damages caused by third parties or by inaccurate, incomplete, or omitted information provided by the client. Liability is limited to the total amount paid for the specific service in question.
- Termination
Either party may terminate the service agreement in writing. All fees for work performed and disbursements incurred up to the date of termination remain payable.
- Legal Compliance
Services are rendered in accordance with South African legislation, including the Administration of Estates Act, the Wills Act, and the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA). DP Consultancy is not a law firm and does not provide legal representation in court.
- Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter through mediation. If unresolved, the matter may be referred to a South African court with appropriate jurisdiction.
- Amendments
These Terms and Conditions may be updated from time to time. The most recent version will be made available on our website or upon request.
- Acceptance

Use of our services, including signing a Mandate Form or selecting the above checkbox in digital formats, constitutes full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
DP Consultancy (Pty) Ltd reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions without prior notice.
